MY ART PROCESS

Sketchbooks and a camera always travel with me as I like to gather lots of information about the places I explore. This en plein air practice becomes the starting point for further work as the experience of working outdoors deepens the connection made at the time.

Back in the studio, I work two or more paintings at a time…being too impatient to wait for paint to dry, I can then switch! Preferring canvas and acrylics, I then use any tool to hand be it brushes, palette knives, found objects and my hands to try and describe that memory experienced in nature.
